There’s that Christmas lyric that goes “It’s the most wonderful time of the year” but I could say the same about February, even if it’s the shortest month of the year.

LOVING

Well, it is February and it’s always my favourite month of the year. Surrounded by friends and family (they’re here!) and just getting all the love that I feel all year round, but feel most especially this year. Apart from my ritual of spending the day of my birthday on a beach by myself with Airplane mode on and a good book and lots of alcohol, I also really enjoyed spacing out all the friends and family gatherings. I know birthday months aren’t the most popular concepts, but I’ll stretch out the celebrations as much as I can.

WORKING ON

I wanted to make my sister a blanket for her birthday (hint: it’s in March) and I have not gotten around to it. Technically, I make blankets for my siblings who move in to a new home but because I’ve been lazy and busy, it hasn’t happened. But I did start it! I just need to get around to doing it much much more. I’m thinking of forcing myself to knit while watching TV cause I do that a lot and I’m usually on my phone, so it’ll be a two birds one stone kind of thing.

FEELING

Appreciative of the family. I haven’t seen them in a while and the parents living at my place the past couple of weeks hasn’t been easy but it’s really been amazing seeing everyone come together. Whenever I talk about myself, i always say that I have 5 other siblings (and we’re getting the in-laws). And so it was so nice to just be all together for my sister’s wedding (next month!). On my birthday month, my heart is full.
