I thought that if i let anyone in, they’d find out what was broken about me. And then not only would they know, i’d know too.

Done

Done

I have always been about habit building and because I’m a bit obsessive, follow through is something that comes a bit more naturally to me. I also love lists and tracking and so this is all just par for the course. Lately though, it’s been difficult for me to get through a full month of doing something that’s good for me.

I was listening to a Huberman podcast on forming habits, and he mentioned that I should start with 2-3 “easy” things that I just try to do everyday. And if I you aren’t able to do it straight for 28 days, then re-evaluate and work on it for another couple weeks. Or something along those lines.

I like this concept of doing something every day and I know I love a good streak so the app Done has been really useful for me. I’m starting with a super low bar of drinking 2 glasses of water a day (I know. I’m terrible) and so far, because I really like seeing the bar charts get filled out and I like my streaks, it’s been pretty swell.

I know this is a pretty low bar, but I’m also excited to get to building better self-care habits (cause yes, I’m only in the drink water more often bit). What habits are you trying to build?
