So Long, 36!

Well, here we are again 365 days later, talking about the year that was. Thirty-six was definitely one for the books, opening me up to new experiences: moving house, changing jobs, being an official auntie and growing a bit more.

Looking back on photos from the past year, so much has happened that makes me smile, but I also know that a lot of it was tough and stressful and anxiety-ridden and I’m glad I got through. I’m learning that there are things I can stress over and still feel out of control and there are things that will just fall into place, no matter what I do.

I’m trying to live in the moment more, picking up my phone less and just being present with myself and with others. I’m trying to connect and create and be more intentional about my relationships and how I spend my time.

But most of all, I’m just trying to be kinder to myself. When my mom was thirty-six, she had all 6 kids and still kept the house running. I know I could never and so I’ll just try to pay things forward. Here’s to the past 365 days around the sun. I’m excited for thirty-seven.
