Rewind: October 2023

And just like that, we’ve entered the berrr months of the year which honestly means it’s Christmas already which means we’re done with the year. But before we get there and snowball into the holiday season, October did have its own set of wonderfulness.

LOVING

Apart from the entire Bali trip which was just pure love, I also got to celebrate old and new friends. I got to drop by the Google office for lunch with the old MA gang who always so kindly welcome me into their group. Then we had Ami’s birthday where Malini and Joy flew in for! And Shernan’s early birthday at this beautiful restaurant in the museum quarter. And finally saying goodbye to Dane, our temporary flatmate who brought the gang even closer.

Working On

I also re-discovered crochet this month! I have an entire bin of 1 skein threads and there’s only 1 thing you can do with that little thread — bucket hats! And I realised it was so easy to make a bucket hat, through trial and error, I made one after the other in quick succession just so I wouldn’t be on my phone as often I was. So if you want a bucket hat, LET ME KNOW. I can make you one.

Feeling

With the 5KM run coming up, I do not feel prepared for it. So I agreed to doing a group run with Mike and his running friends. And omg. I died. First off, I had to wake up at the crack of dawn to get to the CBD but also I agreed to cycle with Taylor from Mountbatten to Bayfront and then run then cycle back. So that did a number on me in the same way Barry’s Bootcamp with Jade killed me. Still, fun times in a way!
