Draw Me Like One Of Your French Girls

I wouldn’t consider myself artsy in the least but it was nice to get invite by my sister-in-law Ashna’s brother Milon’s venture for Art Again. Apart from supporting family, it was a nice activity that I had never done before. Think speed drawing some nudes.

For one thing, i don’t draw. And it was my first time with nudes. I thought it would be weird, but it was actually really fun. I missed the first session cause I was a bit late but I made it to the 7 other speed rounds and they were actually quite cathartic.

I also learned that it “much easier” to draw the male model than the female model who posed the fuck out of those poses. I also brought some friends along because when else will we get to draw nude models in Singapore? Apparently often, Milon’s having another event on December 2 (cause why not!). But it felt just freeing with how quickly we had to draw that I couldn’t judge myself for not knowing how to draw extremities.

i really do like how Im able to open myself up to new experiences like this one, which I wouldn’t haven normally said yes to if not for Jade, Risa and Elaine saying yes to come along! Here’s to more new experiences!
