I thought that if i let anyone in, they’d find out what was broken about me. And then not only would they know, i’d know too.

It’s pretty crazy how quickly things can change and this month, I said bye (yet again) to teammates and celebrated a shit ton of birthdays. And we bid adieu to yet another month of 2022.

LOVING

Between Singapore’s national day (yay for a public holiday) to all the birthday celebrations (four that I counted: Sambhav, Sangam, Cynch and Chetna — it’s a lot of celebrating. Too much drinking, too much cake, but what a way to celebrate Singapore’s birthday as well. It was also lovely to have Malini and Joy home to have all the girls present after a long time. Yes, I’m all social-ed out, but it was well worth it.

WORKING ON

I’ve been cooking consistently since I got my cholesterol diagnosis back in Q4 2019, but I’ll admit I hit a bit of a slump lately, with me doing things that I’ve gotten used to. With COVID-19 measures easing up some more, I’ve been going back to the office more than usual and therefore having packed lunch has been necessary. And so I’m back to trying to find interesting dishes that I can eat cold (cause I’m too lazy to microwave). So if anyone has any pasta salad recommendations, I’m all ears — preferably vegetarian, please!

FEELING

My dad has been scanning all these old photos we’ve had and it’s gotten me feeling very nostalgic. I remember not liking the excessive photo taking we did as children at some points but looking back on it, boy am I glad my dad was so intense about it, because it’s so nice to see them now that we’re older. This is making me realise I have to back up all these photos I have. They’re on a cloud but would be good to also just back-up in general. Nevertheless, it’s been a trip.
