I thought that if i let anyone in, they’d find out what was broken about me. And then not only would they know, i’d know too.

A month filled with ups and downs. On a plus side, I weaned myself off Twitter for a good two weeks before the elections out of anxiety. On the down side, I made up for it with doom scrolling. So you know, a stale mate.

LOVING

There is a reason I live on an island, and I’m glad I’m taking advantage of the perennial sunny weather. Shernan took me and Cynch to Lazarus island for the first time ever. I didn’t even know you could ride a ferry from Marina South Pier (it really is a pier!) and we spent a very hot day on an island with lots of snacks, thanks to Cynch. But Lazarus isn’t the only coast! Taylor and I trekked over to East Coast Park for some sun. And though neither are as developed as Sentosa, they both have their charms.

WORKING ON

My post-election grief. I don’t think I’ll ever be over the one that got away. But Leni Robredo is the best president we never had. And though I cried and was in disbelief for the a good week, it was good to commiserate with friends and loved ones. Drinking our sorrows, I ended up hosting an impromptu post-election pity party. It wasn’t the only one I attended. Barb and Mark had Chaps and I over because it was just too sad. What a waste.

FEELING

Encouraged by Spurs performance! It has been five games of fantastic wins. Acid and I are living. Sure, the Liverpool was a draw, but that’s basically a win. The North London Derby massacre with a 3-0 to Arsenal really is the icing on the cake. That plus clean sheets against Burnley and Norwich and 3-1 to Leicster away. I don’t know who we are anymore but I hope this feeling lasts. Antonio Conte, I’m sorry I ever doubted you.
