I thought that if i let anyone in, they’d find out what was broken about me. And then not only would they know, i’d know too.

Where the hell did February go? For a month with a bonus day this year (happy birthday to my brother Lex who is now a whopping 8 years old — he’s 32 in normal people years), it still went by pretty darn quickly. My goal this month was to get to work early every day. And that sounds like a really silly goal considering we start work at 10am, but these tiny monthly goals are really working for me. Here’s to more great habits I can hopefully maintain.

Loving

  • Turning 33! I took a day off from work and had plans of going to the beach but the weather had other plans for me and so instead, I got a massage, went to yoga and ate a chocolate cake. It wasn’t what I had in mind but it was pretty darn perfect.

  • I’ve discovered this lovely plant based restaurant called, Green Dot thanks to my lovely sister-in-law Ashna and I have to say, I AM IN LOVE. I would eat this every day if it opened nearer my work or my house but I’ll settle for having it multiple times a week. If this is eating plant based, I’m all in.

  • Tiktok videos are something I didn’t think I’d get in to now that I’ve turned 33 — cause you know, totally an adult now. And yet, I succumbed and downloaded it. First off, the talent that it takes to make one of these is a lot. i’m impressed. But I’m mostly in love with the Washington Post's Tiktok guy. Obviously.

Working On

  • Getting back on my bike after forever. Having moved houses, I definitely don’t get to ride as often as I used to back when I lived out east so it was nice to be able to get back on it after a while. I’m still not 100% comfortable riding on the road, but it’s good to try.

  • I got my 3rd cholesterol test and this time, it went up a little bit. It’s a bit frustrating to be honest, considering I’ve been pretty well behaved but I guess genetics is finally kicking in. So this means continuing with my low fat diet and increased exercise. Both are hard.

Anticipating

  • If things get better with the coronavirus, I’m excited to be back in Manila for a couple of days for a friend’s wedding. I haven’t been back home since August and it’s kind of nice to be able to hang out with some friends and family.
