I thought that if i let anyone in, they’d find out what was broken about me. And then not only would they know, i’d know too.

Narcos: Mexico

I had watched the first Narcos series all the way through and itw as a pretty good one. But I never got around to watching the other companion series, Narcos: Mexico

And I’m surprised too. Because it stars none other than Diego Luna, who’s always fun to watch but more importantly easy on the eyes. My teenage awakening to subtitled films with Y Tu Mama Tambien sure made me realise how important those fourteen years of Spanish were.

Like all Narcos series, expect blood baths and though my knowledge of Mexico is limited to The OC episodes where Marissa irresponsibly goes to TJ aka Tijuana, I had Taylor giving me historical context — and rationing episodes once a week (the restraint!)

The crossover of the original Narcos cast (even if I’ve gone all the way to the end of the original series) is quite fun. In the end, I’m not shocked with the carnage but I’m also incredibly excited to see where the second season goes.
