I thought that if i let anyone in, they’d find out what was broken about me. And then not only would they know, i’d know too.

We’re done with half of the year, y’all. How is that real? June was retrograde hitting me hard and I felt it through and through and through. From the extremely lows of not so great news to the highs of the end of the month, I’m just glad I had my amazing support system propping me up along the way.

Loving

  • I’ve been cooking a lot more outside my comfort zone these past couple of months (and by comfort zone I mean grilled salmon). Thanks to Berny who gave me a Love & Lemons cookbook, I’ve surprised myself with quite tasty meals that I’ve managed to make. I’m really enjoying this.

  • The Euros have been pretty fun to follow along. Though I’m supporting Belgium, because why not, the Eriksen incident really threw me for a loop and so I’m totally cool if Denmark makes it all the way to the end. Also, let’s not forget England just because Sir Harry Kane. Fingers crossed for them.

  • As a cancer moon, I am fully embracing cancer season to be an emotional ride. I’m leaning in to these feelings I can’t quite define and just wallowing in all of it. I always wondered how I could be such a wreck with emotions being an Aquarius Sun but then this all makes sense now. Bring it.

Working On

  • Getting back to being ok. Retrograde gave me a trifecta of issues from a really bad case of never ending eczema, to healing from my procedure, and finally a UTI. Honestly, it was one after the other and I’m just glad retrograde is over. Thank goodness for health insurance.

  • Because I’ve been told to cool it on the indoor cycling and swimming (eczema woes), I’ve had to get back to running. So it’s a slow and steady climb as I try not to damage my knees too much like I did the first time around. Here’s to hoping I can be a bit faster on my pace.

Anticipating

  • My vaccine. Today, I was able to make an appointment for my vaccine shots. I had no doubt the process would be seamless when it was live for the <39 year olds of non-Singaporean citizenship, so the wait was worth it. I’ll admit that I was getting impatient seeing everyone else in my life get vaccinated, but I knew that when the timing was right (literally), it would be smooth for us. And here we are. Come end of July, I will be fully vaccinated with Moderna. And I cannot wait.
