I thought that if i let anyone in, they’d find out what was broken about me. And then not only would they know, i’d know too.

Take Me Back to the Shore

Take Me Back to the Shore

It’s the last quarter of the year and there’s a lot going on in content, but I’m still comforting myself with some Grey’s Anatomy because why not. Still, with Succession back in our lives and the holiday movie season coming up, there’s a lot to look forward to.

Succession

Everyone’s favorite dysfunctional family is back and it honestly feels like forever since we last saw the Roys (pre-pandemic and all that). So it’s always nice to see how much more horribly they treat each other and gives me a bit of a comfort that sure, my family isn’t perfect but at least we’re not the Roys.

I love how every time I think oh maybe I’ll root for this character, they do something insane that makes me think twice. Yes to unloveable anyone. No one has to be redeeming! Let everyone be assholes! I approve completely!

Chesapeake Shores

I am however, shocked at how lovely Chesapeake Shores has been to me. How is this even possible? I came to this show late and it had a bunch of blah seasons but this season, they actually came and gave us EVERYTHING?

I was actually involved and looking forward to episodes rather than trudging through them and the absence of Trace is where I’m chalking up all my enjoyment too! Yes! I hope Season 6 is amazing because this season was wonderful and I’m now way more invested in the O’Briens than I used to be.

The Batman

Then in movie news, the preview for The Batman was released and the Twilight fangirl in me was revived because it’s been awhile since I’ve seen a movie from Robert Pattinson that I might actually watch! Don’t get me wrong, his filmography is some serious shit, and I know they’re good but I just feel like I need to switch my brain off with content and so Batman is a wonderful way to do this.

I never saw him as an action hero, but it’s going to be so nice watching all the press he’ll be doing for this alongside Zoe Kravitz at that. Please let this be good so that we get a sequel.

Spencer

And finally, if we talk about Robert, we’ve got to talk about Kirsten Stewart too, and her movie Spencer is not getting the best reviews (or mixed ones at that) but I love me a royalty adaptation and the trailer looks wild. I may need subtitles cause all the word eating is hard to decipher but she looks amazing as the part and I’m excited to see how it measures up to all the Diana impressions we’ve been getting.

Honestly, even if it’s a bad movie, I’m just hoping she gets some Oscar buzz on this and if Robert does too, that would be amazing. My little teenage heart is feeling all the feelings I didn’t think we’re still latent in there.

What is everyone else watching and what are some light fluffy things I could get into? Please do share!
