Everything Has Changed
Well what a season that was. Between Jan Vertonghen leaving the team at the end of the season to Christian Eriksen leaving mid-season. To Pochettino getting sacked and replaced with Mourinho. To barely making it to the Europa league (god knows that’s still up in the air). To all the injuries and transfer. And did we mention the lockdown and the lack of football for a good couple of months. There was A LOT to digest this season.
And so when the trailer for the All Or Nothing Amazon documentary came out last month, I knew Acid and I would need to discuss this soon. it’s been drama and a crazy up and down and what a great time to make the documentary. It must suck for the team (and the fans) to have to go through all this drama but it makes for good tv.
I also am super happy with how Acid and I were able to record an entire season of podcasts (our maiden season) of Stalking Spurs. I didn’t think we’d have 22 episodes under our belt but somehow we got through it. It’s been really good to connect with Acid and Toby even while they’re so far away and obviously the podcast medium is near and dear to my heart.
And now we’re on break from the football season given the COVID-19 delay — we should have launched the new season this week. But instead, we wait another month. So September can’t come soon enough but also, I hope we fare better as a team. No more excuses this time around. We’ve got to do better. Come on, you Spurs.
